Malvern Cellar

Between the Lion and the Unicorn
Angus Macdonald has lived in Malvern for over 20 years and during that time has discovered a wealth of local producers of food and drink. Cider, perry, beer, wine, gin and more are all made within the Three Counties of Worcestershire, Herefordshire and Gloucestershire and this has been the inspiration for the opening of Malvern Cellar in May 2018.

Malvern Cellar is mainly an off sales shop where you can taste the different products on offer before buying. There is a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere where Angus will share with you his knowledge of the provenance of his products. He has a handpicked selection of some of the best crafted drinks in the region and it’s a great place to have a drink on your way back from a walk on the hills, or before you go to the theatre.

We are now open: Thursday, Friday and Saturday 10am – 5pm or by appointment any time. Covid restrictions are no longer in place however masks would be preferred.

Local Produce

A handpicked selection of the best local producers
Malvern Cellar strives to support small independent producers who are honest about their ingredients and transparent with their methods. Products are made with carefully sourced ingredients and made with an attention to detail that can’t be matched on an industrial scale. Drink less, drink better and drink local is Angus’s motto.

Angus holds events with local cooks and producers, for example, Chalupa who make delicious Mexican food to pair with our local cider and perry – a surprising but wonderful combination.

See our blog section for more details about forthcoming events, tastings and collaborations with cooks and food producers.
